In latest social justice insanity, Black Lives Matter attacks “rap yoga” class as racist

If you still believe that the Leftist-driven “social justice” movement is about tolerance and inclusion — two of the Left’s favorite buzzwords — you really should disabuse yourself of that notion.

Because it’s not. Flat out, it’s about division, self-segregation, and revenge — for America’s original sin of slavery.

Case in point: The Sacramento chapter of the racialist “Black Lives Matter” movement — the same group that refuses to acknowledge that, really, all lives matter — is protesting a local yoga studio because its owners had the temerity to create a “rap yoga” class.

Now, once upon a time imitation was the sincerest form of flattery; people felt honored and complimented when others would imitate or adopt their cultural values, mores, and traditions.

In Melting Pot-America, that is no longer the case; such imitation now is something called “cultural appropriation” and it’s just the latest excuse for the perpetually angry and offended to continue being angry and offended.

Enter the offended/angered BLM’ers in Sacramento. As reported by Tom Knighton at PJ Media, you can’t be a white woman who plays rap music in a yoga class, and if you do prepare to be ‘protested.’

“Historically rap music has been a way of expression for black folks to talk about the pain that they go through in their neighborhoods and their lives. … We’re just trying to make change and we’re trying to get them to acknowledge what they’re doing and be accountable,” claimed Tanya Faison, the local chapter founder (has she heard of Eminem or — from ‘back in the day’ — Vanilla Ice?).

By the time the perpetually offended showed up for their protest the instructor had already been informed that her imitation flattery wasn’t universally accepted so she had canceled the class. “In other words,” writes Knighton, “BLM wanted to make sure that a white woman knew her place.”

You know, like whites used to do to blacks. Revenge is sweet!

It gets worse.

The perpetually offended shamed yoga studio co-owner Ellen Moe into apologizing for the class and, according to The Daily Caller, she “said some from the studio would be participating in a racism class” [Emphasis added].

A racism class? Sounds to me like its the BLM’ers who ought to take one; to them, white-shaming is perfectly fine, and oh, by the way, don’t you dare try to pay us the compliment of imitation! (Related: INDOCTRINATION: Colleges now starting to require “diversity” course to graduate.)

Groan.

The origin of this class was about as innocent as it gets.

The DC reported that the husband of the instructor who tried to create the rap yoga class only wanted to do so because she loves hip-hop music — something else that is no doubt going to trigger anew BLM’ers who will no doubt claim that whitey has no right to like their music.

“When it comes to policing yoga studios over who can play hip-hop and who can’t, I think that goes far afield and I think that steps outside of what I envisioned Black Lives Matter to stand for,” said Darrell Spence.

Apparently not.

This ridiculousness follows a similar “cultural appropriation” faux pas in Portland, Oregon in 2017. As NewsTarget reported, two white women who dared to open a burrito shop were shamed into closing it because, hey, they aren’t Hispanic (but it’s okay for Taco Bell and other Mexican-themed fast-food chains owned by white people to sell them?).

“…[T]his out-of-control political correctness is now being employed by radical idiots to destroy reputations and ruin livelihoods — and where else, but the insane Left-wing bastion of Portland, Ore., whose mayor recently stated he wants to censor pro-Trump free speech events in the city because he has decided anyone who supports the president is a racist/bigot/homophobe Nazi…while behaving like a Nazi,” I wrote for the site.

This is all getting out of hand, but it’s getting out of hand intentionally. Those who are pushing this agenda think they have a score to settle with white people.
